An intensive care nurse has shared a picture of her exhausted face, bruised by wearing protective gear for 13 hours a day, in a bid to keep people indoors over Easter.
Aimée Goold from East Retford, Nottinghamshire published the distressing image on her Facebook account yesterday, in a post that has been shared and commented on thousands of times.
The nurse, who works at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital, revealed she had been working 65-hour weeks amid the coronavirus crisis, as she begged people to 'remember her face' when thinking of going out this weekend.

The photo shows an exhuasted Aimée in her uniform with red welts and marks across her cheeks and nose.
In the post, she describes the image as being 'the face of reality' and a visual representation of 'going through hell'.
She reveals how she hasn't seen her family for nearly a month and is putting her life on the line to save others, but vows to continue fighting Covid-19 from the frontline.

Aimée tells of holding the hands of dying patients, to ensure that even though relatives are unable to be by their side, they are not alone in their final moments.
'This is the face of someone who will carry on, no matter what,' she wrote.
While she is longing for the nationwide lockdown, which has been in force for nearly three weeks, to end, she urges readers to abide by the social distancing rules.
Concluding the post, she wrote: 'This is the face of an ICU nurse that is begging you: to stay inside, protect us, protect the NHS and help us save lives.'
