Former Speaker of the House John Boehner heaped praise on Nancy Pelosi during her portrait unveiling.
Despite Pelosi’s history of corruption, he praised her by saying no one “has wielded the gavel with such authority or with such consistent results” as her.
Former House Speaker John Boehner paid a tearful tribute to Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday at the unveiling of her official portrait in the U.S. Capitol.
Boehner, R-Ohio, who had a reputation for frequently tearing up when he was speaker, offered warm words for Pelosi, D-Calif., the outgoing speaker, who has often been demonized by GOP lawmakers.
“You’ve been incredibly effective as the leader of your caucus. The younger generation today has a saying: ‘Game recognizes game.’ The fact of the matter is no other speaker of the House in the modern era — Republican or Democrat — has wielded the gavel with such authority or with such consistent results,” “one tough cookie.”
He began tearing up during his tribute to Pelosi.

“My girls told me, tell the speaker how much we admire her, as if you couldn’t tell, my girls are Democrats,”
After Boehner’s resignation back in 2015, Donald Trump blasted him for not fighting hard enough for Conservatives.
Trump even went as far as to say “I don’t think he’s a conservative.”
Donald Trump said Friday it was time for Speaker John Boehner to go because he didn’t fight hard enough for conservative principles.
Mobbed by reporters outside the main ballroom at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington ahead of his speech to the Values Voters Summit, the front-runner for the 2016 GOP nomination said Boehner’s announced resignation was “a good thing.”
“I think it’s time, it’s a good thing,” Trump said. “Someone else will come in and maybe they’ll have a tougher attitude.”
Asked by The Hill if Boehner fought sufficiently for conservative principles, Trump responded: “No, he didn’t. Not enough.”
“I don’t think he’s a conservative,” the celebrity real estate tycoon said of Boehner.“I think it’s time for him [to move on] and the party and everybody,” Trump added.
Trump was right!
Boehner is nothing more than a RINO.
Whose side was he on?
