Superstar entertainer Kanye West recently took his "Sunday Service" on the road — this time to a church in his hometown of Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

What are the details?

During an hourslong service at a megachurch in Stonecrest, West preached "radical obedience" to Jesus.

The service, which was led by senior Pastor Dr. Jamal H. Bryant, had lines forming outside New Birth Missionary Baptist Church hours before the event, the Journal-Constitution reported.

West and the church choir performed several gospel songs, as well as Christian-centric takes on secular songs.

"You sent your son to die for us, and all you ask is for radical obedience to you," West told the congregation, which included other celebrities such as rappers T.I., Jermaine Dupri, 2 Chainz, and Nelly, as well as comedian and actor Chris Tucker. "You're not asking us to do the least. You know how people are like, 'At least I ... ' how are we gonna do the least when he did the most?

"I've seen him work miracles in my life," West continued. "You know the devil presents so many flashy, shiny objects. I've seen everything that the devil could've showed you via TV, videos, car dealerships, jewelry, houses, and I'll tell you ... nothin' beats God ... and a sound mind."

West pointed out that the only thing people should be concerned with is "the opinion of God."
"I know we stay this is the culture, or that is the culture," he continued. "To be radically in service to Christ is the only culture that I want to know about.

"Thank you for saving me, replenishing me, for delivering me," a tearful West praised. "When I found out about you ... I got closer to my children. I got closer to my family, 'cause the devil had me chasing a gold statue, had me chasing cars, had me chasing numbers ... the power of God cannot be calculated by a number, a first week sale, by a bank account, by how many cars you drive, by how big your houses is, how many acres you got.

"It's God inside of us," he insisted. "It's God inside of family. It's God inside of friendship that we hold each other accountable. If you see somebody slipping, you tell them. They be coming at me like, 'Why are you so judgmental?' It ain't for me to judge, but I'm gonna tell them what I see."

What else?

West has been hosting what he calls Sunday Service performances since early 2019.
Many of West's Sunday Service events feature gospel versions of songs from West's musical catalogue as well as other classic and contemporary Christian music.

In August, West hosted a Sunday Service in Dayton, Ohio, to honor the lives lost in a mass killing that took place on a busy street outside of a club. The massacre took the lives of nine people and injured dozens more.

West's forthcoming album, apparently called "Jesus is King," features Christian-centric tracks titled "Selah," "Baptized," "Sweet Jesus," and more. The album is set for a Sept. 27 release.
