House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) stunned a gaggle of liberal reporters on Thursday when he, without hesitation, called impeachment ringleader Adam Schiff a liar.
“You just asserted that the several Republicans did this yesterday at the hearing — Adam Schiff either personally met with the whistleblower or knows the identity of the whistleblower, which he continues to deny. Can you just say it plainly? Do you think he’s lying?” MSNBC reporter Garrett Haake asked Rep. McCarthy.
Without a second of hesitation, McCarthy answers “YES” and there was pin drop silence in the entire room of reporters.
“And, I don’t think it’s the first time he’s lied to us either,” McCarthy added.
The MSNBC reporter didn’t even try to ask a follow-up question. McCarthy stunned him into silence and moved on to the next reporter.

Everyone knows that the anti-Trump CIA officer who filed a whistleblower complaint against President Trump over his July 25 phone call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is Eric Ciaramella.
Eric Ciaramella met with Adam Schiff’s staffers in August before he filed the whistleblower complaint against Trump — the same complaint that would later be used by Schiff and Pelosi to launch an impeachment inquiry.
Schiff lied to the public during an appearance on MSNBC when he claimed, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower, we would like to.”
Schiff is lying again about knowing the identity of the whistleleaker — Eric Ciaramella.
House Republicans in the room for Wednesday’s public impeachment inquiry hearing laughed in Adam Schiff’s face when he claimed he does not know the name of the whistleblower.
Republican lawmakers such as Senator Rand Paul and Rep. Dan Bishop have already publicly dropped Eric Ciaramella’s name.
