With millions of people stuck at home, many are predicting a baby boom nine months down the road — and one Instagrammer has an idea about what some of those babies might be called
Austun Reid, a sophomore at Oakwood University in Alabama, shared a video on Instagram and TikTok in which he impersonated a teacher in the year 2026.
Doing roll call, he reads off a list of names for his new little kindergarteners, including Khovid 'with a K,' Quarantina, and Pandemica.

Rolls right off the tongue! He also foresees some little girls named Corona Lashae
Baby boom: Doing roll call, he reads off a list of names for his new little kindergarteners, including Khovid 'with a K' and Corona Lashae
Sounds about right: Other names he came up with were Purrell and Virusa, pronounced 'Varissa'

'Good morning class, my name is Mr. Reid, and I'll be your teacher for this year,' he tells the camera with a smile.
'We're gonna start this off with roll. If you hear your name, just, "here." If I mispronounce it, just correct me, and I'll correct it on my sheet,' he says, doing a great imitation of a teacher on the first day of class.
Then he begins to read off the names — which are all inspired by the pandemic.
There's a Khovid, 'with a K,' a Corona Lashae, a Purrell, and a Virusa — whose name Austun pronounces like 'virus-uh,' then pretends to hear a student correcting him to say it like 'Varissa.'

Cleanliness: He predicts parents will be inspired by much-needed products right now, like Charmin toilet paper and Dove soap

Future directors? At one point, he calls out two similar names, likely for some unlucky twins: Quarantina and Quarantino

Other student names include Charmin, Dove, twins Quarantina and Quarantino, and Tissue, who apparently pronounces it 'tih-sue.'
Finally, there's a student name Pandemica, another named Covid — but this time with a C — and a Rona.
The funny list of names certainly has a theme, but Austun ends off on a particularly funny and unexpected note, calling out the last name on the list of students as 'Carol Baskin.'
Austun's clever video is quickly going viral, earning over 100,000 likes across TikTok and Instagram — and three million views on Facebook alone.
Unique: There's also Tissue, who apparently pronounces it 'tih-sue'
That sounds right... There's also one real name in the bunch, Rona

So funny: Finally, he finishes off with Pandemica and Covid, this time spelled with a C

Actor Jesse Williams and actress Vanessa Williams have even shared it on their own social media channels, as has White House Correspondent April D. Ryan.
Commenters certainly appreciate the humorous look into the future, calling it 'awesome' and 'so funny.'
'Amazing!!!!! This is the funniest video!!!!' wrote one.
