Amir Khan has flouted Covid lockdown rules again to enjoy an emotional reunion with his estranged parents signalling an end to a bitter 18-month feud that has torn the family apart.
The boxer, his wife Faryal Makhdoom and their three children visited his parents at their home in Bolton earlier this week to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
His siblings and cousins were also present, many of whom he has not spoken to after also falling out with them.
But the visit raised eyebrows among fans with one asking online : 'How does the social distancing and not being able to see family work then?? I’m dying to see my family'.
It is the second time Amir has fallen foul of social distancing rules after he was forced to apologise for hosting a take-away for five friends at his home in April.
This week's reunion was made even more poignant because it was the first time Amir’s parents, Shah and Falak, had met their grandson Muhammad Zaviyar, who was born three-months ago.

The get together to mark the end of Ramadan was the first time since December 2018 that Mr and Mrs Khan had seen their son and Faryal plus the couple’s other two children, Lamaisah, six, and Alayna, two.
Despite current Covid-19 restrictions on family gatherings, the Khans decided to breach them, claiming that that the lockdown had made them realise the importance of family life.
A source told MailOnline: ‘It was a very emotional reunion because both Shah and Falak have really missed not seeing Amir and his family.
‘They were also devastated that they had not seen their grandson and there were a lot of tears and joy when they laid eyes on him for the first time.
‘There’s been a lot of harsh words exchanged between the two sides over the past few months, but this current coronavirus situation has made them see what’s really important. And that is your family.’
Another family source said: ‘It was a beautiful day and wonderful to see the Khans reunited again. There were a lot of tears and hugging and a lot of healing took place.
'Because of coronavirus, everybody wanted to settle their differences and start building a new family life again.’
When asked about the Khans flouting lockdown rules, the source hit back: ‘Important people in the Government are breaching the lockdown so what is wrong with the Khans and other people doing it?

'If people are going to criticise them, then I would ask why are you picking on them? Why not target those who are more influential, like Dominic Cummings?’
In one photograph, Amir, 33 and Faryal, 28 posed in the family living room with his delighted parents as his father Shah proudly holds his grandson.
Others show the boxer lovingly holding his brother Haroon’s son in the garden.
Dressed in modern and traditional clothes, the Khan clan enjoyed a traditional Eid feast at Shah and Falak’s home before spending the rest of the afternoon in the large family garden.
The Khan family publicly fell out in 2016 and 2017 amid a scathing war of words between Faryal and her in laws which was widely played out in the media.
She accused them of bullying and violence while they branded her 'evil' and labelled her a bad mother.
The dispute prompted Amir to announce that he was divorcing his wife, but they reunited after she revealed that she was pregnant with their second child.
The feud then reignited last May when Shah told MailOnline that he blamed Faryal for damaging Amir’s relationship with the rest of his family.
He accused her of trying to ‘control his life’ and of ‘driving a wedge’ between him and the rest of the Khan clan.

Amir and New York born beautician and model Faryal, married seven years ago in a ceremony that cost more than £1 million.
In April, Amir Khan defied the Government's strict rules on social distancing rules again as he hosted a party for five of his friends.
He enjoyed a cosy takeaway curry at his home in Bolton and videoed the gathering before posting the footage onto his Instagram feed for his 1.3 million followers.
In a grovelling apology at the time, Amir told MailOnline: ‘I was wrong and I’m truly sorry to the British public. I should not have had this party for my friends and as soon as I posted the video, I realised that it was sending out the wrong message.
'I can understand why some people are calling me a hypocrite, but I want to promise them, I will not do something like this again.’
