New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is set to be grilled by investigators chosen by fellow Democrat and state Attorney General Tish James this weekend.
Via the New York Post:
Gov. Cuomo is the guest of honor today at a weekend grilling.
He was to be quizzed by investigators Saturday as part of the state probe into sexual harassment claims by his female aides.
Outside lawyers hired by state Attorney General Tish James will have Cuomo on the hot seat in Albany, although the time and place have not been announced.
James hired former Manhattan US Attorney Joon Kim and Anne Clark, a leading employment lawyer, to lead the probe.
The governor reportedly prepped with his own lawyers this week to prepare for the questioning.
Cuomo is being represented by Rita Glavin, a former US Department of Justice official.
He was expected to answer questions under oath, the Albany Times Union reported.
Four of Cuomo’s accusers were issued subpoenas in May to testify in the AG’s inquiry.
Given that New York’s Attorney General is also a Democrat we have low expectations that Governor Cuomo will be charged or suffer any consequences for allegedly sexually harassing multiple women.
There seems to be a double standard in our politics today.
The things and actions that would almost immediately take down a Republican seem to be no problem for Democrat politicians, and they rarely suffer any consequences.
Sad, pathetic and entirely predictable.
