On Sunday news broke that the RNC Chief Counsel Justin Riemer and the RNC abandoned Trump way back in November following the alleged stolen election.
Riemer was questioning why his Republican party colleagues were supporting President Trump’s allegations of voter fraud. The email was texted to Trump attorney Jenna Ellis who passed it on to Rudy Giuliani and Bernard Kerik.
On Sunday former Trump elections attorney Jenna Ellis tweeted out that the information was true and that the RNC stabbed President Trump and his attorneys in the back and that now the RNC is lying by pretending the accusations are false.
RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel blocked Jenna Ellis on Twitter in response to this tweet.
Trump campaign insider who said all of this was true and that the GOP folded on Trump within days of the election and abandoned him. Then they raised over $220 million to help fight. To this day top Trump campaign officials have no idea where that money went to.
On Monday night the fake news Washington Post jumped into action to defend both Ronna Romney McDaniel and RNC Chief Counsel Justin Reimer.
The swamp will always defend its own.
And the WaPo wrote that Ronna McDaniel is against re-litigating the results of the 2020 election.
In the days after the election, McDaniel flew to various states to raise issues about the election, and Giuliani and then-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell held a much-maligned news conference in the lobby of the party’s headquarters. The email from Riemer came days after that news conference, which discomfited senior RNC officials. McDaniel soon slowed her public appearances and did not embrace the far-flung claims of fraud.
McDaniel has urged top donors and party officials in recent weeks to focus on the 2022 midterms and has argued that focusing on re-litigating the results of the 2020 election could hurt the party going forward, according to people who have spoken with her. But people close to McDaniel said she continues to speak with Trump and has a good relationship with him.
The RNC has also declined, according to multiple people familiar with the matter, to pay any of Giuliani’s legal bills — a point of contention among some Giuliani associates. “Rudy Giuliani has never worked for the RNC and he has never acted at our direction,” a party spokeswoman said.
