British Prime Minister Boris Johnson released a video statement Thursday on the terror attack at Hamid Karzai International Airport that the United Kingdom would continue evacuation efforts “until the last moment.” No British soldiers were reported wounded or killed. At least ten U.S. service members are reported killed in the attack. Several Afghans were also killed in the bombing outside a gate to the airport with likely over a hundred wounded.
Johnson’s statement was made to Sky News reporter Sam Coates.

We’ve been hearing reports that multiple US troops were killed in the explosion, and this comment from the prime minister appears to confirm it
“I can confirm there’s been a barbaric terrorist attack, series of attacks in Kabul airport, in which members of US military lost their lives, Afghan casualties as well – condolences to US and people of Afghanistan,” he told Sky’s Sam Coates.
Johnson spoke before Joe Biden, who has not issued a written statement at this time but is expected to address the nation from the White House this afternoon.
Johnson, “The barbaric terrorist attack in Kabul shows the importance of continuing Operation PITTING to the end. The majority of those eligible have been evacuated and our teams are getting through to people as fast as they can. We will keep going until the last moment.”
