A Texas mother was rushed to a hospital Monday suffering from life-threatening injuries after officials say she used her body to shield her seven-year-old daughter from a gunman's bullets during a suspected road rage incident.
Gunfire erupted after 7am near Interstate 35 and Theo Avenue on San Antonio's South Side.
A 29-year-old woman was riding in the front passenger seat of her husband's silver sedan, with their daughter sitting in the backseat, when another driver flew into a rage because he thought he had been cut off in the turnaround lane, police said.
The aggrieved motorist then allegedly pulled out a gun and aimed it at the family's car.
