Tampa, Florida – A rapper was killed shortly after taunting his enemies on Instagram.
Rapper Rollie Bands told his enemies that he was on his way back to his house if they “want smoke” – and his enemies showed up minutes later and fatally shot him in the garage of his apartment building.
“A lot of these N***** kno where I live at fr. I sleep in peace. If a N***** want smoke I’m at my crib in 5 mins.” – the rapper said on his Instagram stories last Friday, according to a screegrab captured by Onsite!
Rollie Bands was gunned down minutes later.
According to authorities, the rapper was gunned down outside the IQ Apartments, located at 12708 Bruce B Downs Boulevard in Tampa.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office released a statement on the shooting death of Rollie Bands:
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead outside of the IQ Apartments, located at 12708 Bruce B Downs Boulevard in Tampa.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on July 22, 2022, the complainant called HCSO to report an adult male victim had been shot in the parking lot of the IQ Apartments. Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspects had driven away from the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where despite receiving lifesaving measures, he later died.
“At this time, the shooting does not appear random, as the suspects and victim are possibly known to each other,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in the report.
The suspects are still at large.
