Ana Kasparian, a liberal co-host for "The Young Turks," admitted during an appearance on a Sunday YouTube show that puberty blockers are not reversible and "can cause irreparable harm" to children.
On an episode of the "Sitch & Adam Show," Kasparian detailed the pivotal moments that recently caused her to change many of her former left-leaning political opinions.
The pundit explained that her perspective started to shift when she noticed that her liberal peers were "incessantly gaslighting" her about the crime wave that occurred in 2020.
Kasparian denounced the left's "attacks on straight-news journalists who are doing their jobs." She claimed the pile-on attacks are a strategy to advance the left's political narrative by "intimidat[ing] journalists from doing accurate reporting."
The TYT host specifically mentioned reporter Jesse Signal who received a wave of backlash for sharing the potential dangers of children using puberty blockers and processed hormones.
"Through his reporting," Kasparian stated, "I learned that I was wrong about a bunch of other things."
"For instance, it is a lie that puberty blockers are reversible. In some cases, they are not and they can cause irreparable harm," she continued. "Withholding the information because you don't like the information getting out there, ain't the way to go because that destroys any opportunity for us to actually have a good-faith debate about what we should do moving forward."
Kasparian also addressed a recent incident in which she was called "racist" for stating that she did not want to be referred to as a "birthing person."
In March, Kasparian posted on Twitter that the left's suggested gender-neutral phrases, including "person with a uterus, birthing person, or person who menstruates," are "degrading" to women.
Despite receiving significant blowback from leftists, who accused her of making "transphobic statements," Kasparian remained firm and even doubled down on her remarks, declaring that she would "never apologize."
On Sunday, Kasparian explained that she believes the left's strategy has "actually caused more harm than good."
"I think their rhetoric and their discourse is a lot of times ignorant of the facts, and I think that they go around accusing people of doing things that they themselves engage in, and I was part of that, too. I'm trying to do better moving forward," she stated.
Kasparian noted that she no longer knows what her political "labels" are because of her recent shift.
"I don't fit in anywhere, I feel like," she continued. "The problem is, once you see certain things, you can't unsee them."
