White House aides are reportedly being lied to in strategy meetings in an apparent attempt to cover up the president’s seventh grandchild, an illegitimate child fathered by the president’s son, Hunter.
As President Joe Biden readies for his re-election campaign, his team is worried that a four-year-old child living in Arkansas could tarnish the president’s choreographed image as a devoted family man. The president has been a forceful supporter of Hunter amid allegations of corruption and influence-peddling that evidence suggests could also involve the president.
Despite his strong devotion to Hunter, the president has failed to meet, speak with, or even publicly acknowledge his four-year-old granddaughter living in Arkansas, according to The New York Times. The girl, named Navy Joan, is reportedly the product of a sordid romance between Hunter and Lunden Roberts that took place soon after Hunter’s relationship with his deceased brother’s widow, Hallie, ended.
The president’s team is reportedly pushing a public relations strategy that involves never recognizing Navy Joan as part of the Biden family. White House aides are reportedly being told in strategy sessions that the president only has six grandchildren, not seven, according to the Times.
The report comes after the president and the White House have repeatedly failed to acknowledge Navy Joan. In May, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer questions about the child.
“I wanted to ask about the trial going on in Arkansas with Hunter Biden and the child support. Are the president and first lady monitoring that? And how come they haven’t acknowledged the seventh grandchild?” a reporter asked the press secretary, referring to a years-long child support payment battle that was settled last week.
Jean-Pierre responded: “I’m not going to speak to that from here.”
Biden has repeatedly failed to acknowledge his seventh grandchild in public comments about his family, typically revolving around his love and devotion to them.
“The best part of it all, I have six grandchildren, and I’m crazy about them. I speak to them every single day,” Biden said at a White House event in April. “Not a joke,” he added.
Hunter and Navy Joan’s mother, Lunden Roberts, settled a legal battle over Hunter’s child support payments on Thursday. Hunter had been paying Roberts $20,000 a month in child support, and the Biden scion had sought to have that amount reduced, pleading that he could not afford it.
Roberts and Hunter agreed to decrease the amount to $ 5,000 a month. Roberts also gave up a push to allow Navy Joan to take on the Biden family name, something that Hunter had fought against. Navy Joan will receive some of Hunter’s amateur artwork, which the 4-year-old will be able to pick out herself. Hunter’s artwork has sold at auction for as much as $500,000. The buyers’ identities are unknown.
