A woman is speaking out and blasting Vice President Kamala Harris after an illegal immigrant criminal was able to evade prison time because of the Democrats’ presumptive nominee, and subsequently ran the woman down in an SUV after stealing her purse.
Amanda Kiefer was just 30 years old when she was assaulted by the illegal, identified as Alexander Izaguirre, back in 2008. He was part of Harris’ controversial “jobs program” when she served as the San Francisco District Attorney.
Speaking out for the first time about the attack, Keifer told ABC News that it’s “laughable” for Harris to position the 2024 election as a race between a “tough prosecutor,” in Harris, and a convicted felon, former President Donald Trump.
Harris’ jobs program was called “Back on Track,” and, in part, it kept illegal immigrant criminals out of jail by instead training them for jobs they could not legally hold. Izaguirre was one of those criminals.
The illegal was picked for Harris’ program following a felony drug charge. After evading jail time, he stole Keifer’s purse and ran her down in an SUV. At the time, the Los Angeles Times, a far-left paper, described the attack as follows:
A stranger, later identified as Alexander Izaguirre, snatched her purse and hopped into an SUV, police say. The driver sped forward to run Kiefer down. Terrified, she leaped onto the hood and saw Izaguirre and the driver laughing. The driver slammed on the brakes, propelling Kiefer to the pavement. Her skull fractured. Blood oozed from her ear.
“If people who committed crimes were allowed to stay out of prison to train for jobs they couldn’t legally hold, I think most Americans would disapprove of that,” Kiefer said.
Harris said in 2019 that she does not want illegal immigrants criminally charged for entering our country illegally. She was also notably tapped by President Joe Biden as “border czar,” but as VP has reportedly never spoken to the Border Patrol chief and did not actually visit the border until June 2021.
NBC News host Lester Holt famously confronted Harris about why she hadn’t made her way down to the border:
Under Biden and Harris, border crossings hit an all-time high, averaging around 2 million per year, which doesn’t include the “gotaways” or the more than one million parole migrants. Among those encounters were 362 individuals who were on the terror watch list. The total number of encounters under the Biden-Harris administration is expected to reach 10 million by the end of the fiscal year.
