WORD SALAD: Kamala Harris says climate slavery means “freedom” and “patriotism”

The theme of Kamala Harris' speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) centered around the ideas of "freedom" and "patriotism," which to her includes plunging the country into climate slavery.

In addition to "reproductive choice" (abortion) and clean drinking water, Kamala believes that Americans value politicians like herself who are willing to address the "climate crisis" in whatever ways the scientific establishment decides are necessary to save the planet for future generations, even if it means taking away people's freedoms.

For the longest time, the Republican Party has been the party of freedom and patriotism, at least on paper. Republicans have done a really good job enshrining these concepts into their platform, which Kamala and her people are now attempting to claim as their own.

Kamala's speech at the DNC echoed that of Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.), who delivered a speech earlier in the evening in which he claimed that "fighting the climate crisis is patriotic."

 Borrowing from Orwell's 1984

To call forced adherence to bug eating, 15-minute city living, and a low-carbon footprint lifestyle "patriotic" is a major stretch. It hearkens back to the "freedom is slavery" concept in George Orwell's 1984, which reads:

"The slogan coined by Big Brother goes on to explain that freedom is slavery ... Big Brother justifies this confusion by saying that someone who is free under the typical conception, able to operate according to their own will, is ultimately unsuccessful. Rather, true freedom is serving the state, which allows one to operate with more freedom than they ever would have had if they went out into the world on their own."

Mind you, when Kamala framed the concept of climate slavery as a type of freedom, she did so in contrast to the platform of Donald Trump who is not on board with the mainstream climate agenda. Kamala basically told her followers that Trump hates freedom because he does not want to enslave the masses under onerous carbon tax schemes and anti-meat laws like she does, and that she holds the answers to the climate crisis.

What Kamala has not done so far is actually explain how her climate agenda differs from anything that is currently in motion under Joe Biden or past presidents. In fact, she has not yet said one thing new about the climate that others have not already said – and strangely, nobody in the media is pressing her on it.

It is almost as if nobody really cares what Kamala thinks or believes just so long as she prevents Trump from winning another term. Once again, the election is more about voting against Trump as opposed to voting for someone else.

"Fight gibberish with gibberish," tweeted someone on X about Kamala's rhetoric and policies. "That about sums up Kamala's capabilities."

Another posted the following screenshot from an article published in The Atlantic calling communism a form of freedom, which also hearkens back to 1984:

"Malthusians always believe that humanity's sins are gonna cause a catastrophe, and only the smarts and wisdom of said alarmists can save the day," wrote another. "But the alarmists will tell you that they need absolute power to fix things ..."
