CBS, CNN, ABC, and the rest of the “free press” have proven to be a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. In early October 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on CBS's 60 Minutes for an interview that aimed to address various issues, including the administration’s policies and responses to current events.

Following the broadcast, it was revealed that CBS edited the interview to make Harris appear competent on the issues. The network edited Harris's responses to present a more favorable narrative that could be used to mislead the public.

When the unredacted transcript was released, it revealed a Kamala Harris that couldn’t come up with a clear, concise response to direct questions. This unethical collusion between a presidential candidate and a media company could be best described as “election interference” and exposes these networks as unethical bastions of narrative control.

Social justice groups filtering the news and crafting narratives at CBS

Since this collusion went public, the integrity of CBS and their editing process has come under scrutiny. Upon further investigation, it turns out that there is a “Race and Culture” unit at CBS that approves or disproves stories and filters them through a left-wing ideological lens. This Soviet-style commissar system was developed in 2020 after the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. This left-wing movement pillaged cities, destroyed businesses and tried to shame white people into choking up reparations.

The Race and Culture unit at CBS is an extension of this bullying. This propaganda unit became embedded in the “free press” and began to control what was published at CBS. This unit is tasked with reviewing the content and tone of news stories to ensure they align with the network's “editorial standards” regarding race and cultural sensitivity. Since its inception, the Race and Culture unit has filtered out objective news stories and promoted left-wing narratives that obscure the truth about current events. It’s the same deception that was behind CNN’s reporting on BLM protests across the country in 2020, which they described as a “fiery but mostly peaceful protest.”

Corporate news media is a virtue-signaling cesspit of censorship, bullying, mental slavery

This news media controversy was first exposed after a September 30 segment on CBS Mornings featuring an author named Ta-Nehisi Coates. During the segment, CBS co-anchor Tony Dokoupil questioned Coates about his one-sided portrayal of the Israel-Palestine conflict in his new book, The Message. This line of questioning was too honest, too “insensitive,” and drew criticism internally and externally, prompting CBSexecutives to address the matter in a staff meeting.

CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon and her deputy, Adrienne Roark, reported that Dokoupil's approach did not meet the network’s editorial guidelines, particularly regarding tone. She said he did not adhere to the pre-production process wherein questions are run through Race and Culture and Standards and Practices.

The internal reaction included concerns from various employee groups and other journalism organizations, which argued that Tony Dokoupil’s questions were inappropriate and potentially harmful. The company called in Dr. Donald Grant, a self-described “mental health expert, D.E.I. strategist, and trauma trainer” to moderate a staff-wide discussion on the issue. Dokoupil’s “treatment” of Coates was determined by some in the meeting to be “racist,” “xenophobic,” and “Islamophobic.” Dokoupil was even accused of depriving his Black co-hosts from asking their own questions.

The Race and Culture Unit eventually reviewed the situation. It's leader, Alvin Patrick, determined that Dokoupil's questions were appropriate, but his tone was not. Subsequently, CBS CEO McMahon informed Dokoupil that the matter would need to be addressed in a company-wide meeting, leading to even more backlash among his colleagues.

The fallout from this incident has raised questions about editorial freedom at CBS, as well as broader concerns regarding the influence of DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives within media organizations. These so-called “free press” news media organizations are all competing to out-censor one another, bullying each other into a culture of ideological oppression and mental slavery. At the end of the day, Americans are left with garbage narratives that kowtow to left-wing ideologies.
